My name is Steve Bateman I am the owner of

Master AV Services Ltd.

I started out in 1979 as a TV and Video engineer. In 1982 I opened a retail outlet called Bateman Television, selling consumer electronics TVs, Hi Fi, Car audio and Car alarms. I enjoyed keeping a hands on approach with the service side of the business. We moved into different fields of servicing TV, Video, Hi Fi, Microwave and repairs, carrying out work for trade and the general public. By 1996 we closed the retail side and I just concentrated on service repairs, home tuning and installations.

The installation work grew as we moved into the new millennium and consumer electronics became ever more complicated with the arrival of Plasma, DVD, Home cinema and Digital TV. Although I still maintained the repair side of the business I decided to set up a company specialising in Audio Visual installation work. Master AV Services Ltd was registered on 29th January 2001 company Reg No 4149669.

The repair business was in decline and by 2005 as flat screens and home cinema became more affordable, I decided to sell the Bateman Television business and concentrate on Plasma and home cinema installations. Our corporate clients included, The London Hilton, Dixons, Miller Brothers, and Currys although a large part of our work is dealing directly with the general public.

We don't just install the screen.

We can:

• Mount your screen on any type of wall - Brick, Concrete, Stud Walls, dry lined walls.
• We can either surface mount cables or chase them into the wall and re plaster. With stud walls, cables can be fed through wall cavities. We can also build false wall, chimney breasts

We prefer to supply the mounting brackets as they will be the right bracket for the type of installation. However, if you do have your own wall bracket, we will be happy to fit it.

Connections

    

 

Not only do we fit your screen, but we take time calibrating it. We use the best possible method of connection, depending on your existing equipment, whether that be Sky, DVD, etc. We will also check and configure, if necessary, the  settings on existing equipment to make sure they match the inputs used, also advising on future connections such as High Definition (HD), to make sure that you get the most from your setup.

Our vans carry a full range of high quality audio visual leads and cables to suit any type of installation although we will be happy to fit your own cables if required.

Home Cinema

We can install any type of home cinema system, wall mount speakers and hide all the wiring. Our trained and experienced engineers will listen to your requirements and advise on speaker locations to get the very best out of your system. We will then discuss our plan for wire runs to make sure the client is in full agreement before work commences. We also include setting up of sound fields and we configure your AV amplifier to suit the acoustics in your room.

What is home cinema?

If you are looking for a complete, bespoke home cinema room we can provide the expertises from design through to implementation and advise on equipment. We will carry out any building and electrical installation work to ensure we do the very best job for our clients.

Projection

We can provide a full installation service for all projection equipment, including ceiling mounted projectors and screens, whilst hiding all the wiring. We will configure and offer instruction on use of the projector and screen before gaining client sign off.
