Systemline S7 Multi-room Music System

The multi-room music system of your dreams

S7 is an installed multi-room music system which has been exclusively engineered to achieve two distinct design goals. These are: to discreetly complement the elegance of your home, whilst simultaneously enhancing your musical listening enjoyment.

There are no visibly intrusive boxes or trailing mains leads because everything is hidden out of sight. You simply enjoy true hi-fi stereo sound from the S7’s high quality, low-profile ceiling speakers.

Any choice of music can be enjoyed in any room. Or if you prefer, play the same music in all rooms or even create a group or groups of rooms where your music can be shared. Listen to what you want, when you want and where you want.

It’s as easy as ‘1’

‘One Touch’ operation makes using S7 as easy as can be.Instantly select from any stored favourites: these can be playlists, albums or radio stations.

Optional TV sound integration

S7 can automatically switch between music and TV sound. You can even use a number of handsets, including Sky models, to directly control S7. The experience is completely seamless.

Automation

S7 can fully integrate with Building Management and automation control systems.

but incredibly powerful app

The NetMusic App

The world is your oyster in terms of the choice ofmusic available. Your own music collection is stored on a hard drive built-in to the Systemline NetServer. Internet radio is available from a number of providers including the popular ‘Tune-in’ and ‘BBCiPlayer’, which supports both live radio and a full 7day catch-up service. Add to this, music-on demand services such as ‘Spotify’ ‘Deezer’, and ‘Qobuz’ andmore, means you can explore the whole world of music from the comfort of your own home.

S7 also adds a social element to your musical enjoyment with its integrated support of Facebook and Safari. You can chat to your friends, check the weather or latest news, all without having to jump in and out of separate Apps.

Behind the scenes

NetServer Music storage and access to internet services
NetAmp* Hi-Fi amplification & control

The heart of the system is the NetServer and one or more NetAmps, but you won’t see them because they will be neatly hidden away in a purpose designed enclosure. The NetServer is the repository for all your stored music files (up to 24bit/192kHz). It boasts a capacity of more than a milliontracks and is the gateway for all the supported internetservices. The NetServer also supports automatic CD ripping & album art detection in addition to the transfer of existing electronic music files over the network. iTunes is supported with the recommendation that the iTunes library is mirrored to the NetServer hard drive.

The NetAmp connects to the NetServer via a Direct Digital connection and provides stereo hi-fi amplification and control for each room. One NetAmp services two rooms and Systemline S7 can support up to 24 fully independent rooms.

Higher power, higher performance Systemline amplifiers can be added to the system to provide even better hi-fi performance for selected rooms.

Systemline NetAmpImportant Note: Even the best wireless systems suffer drop-outsand ultimately limit sound quality, due to bandwidth constraints.Only wired systems such as Systemline S7
can be used without compromise, because we only use the Wi-Fi network for control, not for audio distribution.*NetAmp Plus should be specified for ‘bit perfect’ 24bit/192kHz resolution.

Systemline S7 V Sonos

Both systems have their advantages and disadvantages

Sonos,    thumbs up  For

Sonos is an extremely versatile system with a large range of wireless and wired speakers and  zone players , as the zone players create their own wireless network they can easily be added to a property where
running cables would be problematical  , the stand alone speakers Sonos play one , play three and play five . can be placed anywhere providing there is no wi fi issues . Sonos connect amps can be located in each room
to drive ceiling speakers

Ideally located in a central position in the property and wired to ceiling speakers.
Play bar , sub and speakers can enhance sound from your TV but are far from discrete.
Sonos is great for retro fits, plays music from a laptop , Nas drive , or directly from music services , such as Spoify Dezzer etc.

Sonos Thumbs down  Against

Can suffer drop out and wireless interference, no in wall key pads available , music is only streamed in MP3 format not CD quality flac files
Does not auto switch TV source to ceiling speakers.

Systemline , thumbs up For

High quality CD files stored on dedicated server, streaming services , such as Spotify ,Dezzer Qobuz etc.
wired system greater reliability than wireless systems, in wall key pads and touch pads fully customisable plus wirelessly control from ipad iphone etc via app.
